Story of Greed
Saad Ghosn
My work lately has been political, using art images as a vehicle for my sociopolitical views and beliefs, and as a tool towards a possible social change. My box tells the “story of greed” of our world, greed that not surprisingly may well contribute to the destruction of our planet and of life on it. Greed, be it monetary control, military power, violence, machismo domination, selfishness and uncaring, will put the world on fire, explode and pulverize its physical structures, dismember its humanity and its life, lead to death and chaos. My box wants to call attention to this course of events with the hope to derail it by triggering an aware change. Let’s put the evil greed all back inside the box and close it.
