The relationship between the rational and the irrational is a beautiful duality.  Social constructs seem to prevail as we, irrational beings, try to negotiate through them.  Yet, the elements seem to always alter the course of one or both. This relationship provides a rich, dynamic landscape. In Gridded Collateral, the imagery in the grids conjured up the scenes of the Gulf War where towns became grids and humanity was missing. As the grids were exposed to the elements; water, air, fire, human forms appeared reminding us of what we had lost.
